Librarians

Posted on September 1, 2021 by tabulacandida
Elder: Now listen, child. Inside of you there are two librarians. One shushes you any time you make the slightest noise; the other finds you neat books about dinosaurs and asteroids and how to make the perfect Victorian tea cakes. They are locked in a battle that lasts your entire life.
Child: Which one wins?
Elder: The one you read.

Actually, most of the time they’re both just complaining about budget cuts.
